Is it O.K. if we post some of our own? Books we’ve read, documentaries that have opened our eyes, music that uplifts us etc? I’m sure there must be a wealth of knowledge and insights among your many listeners.
Hi Malcom,
Please do!

“Eat Your Own Fruit
A disciple once complained, “You tell us stories, but you never reveal their meaning to us.”
Said the Master: ” How would you like it if someone offered you fruit and masticated it before giving it to you?”
No one can find your meaning for you, Not even the Master”
Recounted by anthony De Mello in his selected stories.
And possibly my favorite quote, if that’s the right term;
“You can have all good things – wealth, friends, kindness, love to give and love to receive – once you have learned not to be blinded by them; learned to escape from disappointment and from repugnance at the idea that things are not as you want the to be”
Sufi Inayat Khan
As recounted in The Sufi Book Of Life by Neil Douglas-Klotz. A book, and guide, of extraordinary insight.
It was recently my birthday and I heard this song on the radio, I felt that it was such a lovely sentiment. I felt like it was a gift to me.
Best wishes
Mick
I´m glad Robert is back. I find it difficult accepting what is so but i am really really trying to do so with robert behind me. For years I have been unable to do so and have been stuck in my own anger and that has made me ill and given me cancer (twice) and threatened to kill me. With robert and his words I am overcoming all the rubbish that has plagued me for the past four years and just getting to grips with real life and accepting it. I am so grateful to robert in a way he will never understand. His voice is calm and accepting and his words are warm and encouraging. I hope if he does make a voice out of his endeavours that he records an audiobook in his own voice because he is quite gifted in the simplicity and kindness his voice emanates. It is very endearing and I could listen to him for hours! Thank you Robert and please continue talking to us all.
Thank you,
Open xx
Hi Robert I´m glad you´re back again. I really do worry when you´re away! However, I feel a lot calmer even since my last post and am very grateful to you for guiding me towards a calmer understanding and acceptance of what is so. I really do think you have a gift and that it is your duty (even though you may not want that duty!)having been blessed with that gift to impart it, and that, in time, will reflect back upon you with love in greater fold. That is what I think, and many thanks,
Open xx
(please can someone leave easy to follow instructions for the group meditation?)
thank you:)

Just tripped accross your podcasts on itunes and listened to a couple and just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to put this out into the world.
At the beginning of this year may life changed completely as a result of picking up an audiobook on itunes that looked interesting. It was called “Living a Life of inner peace” by Eckhart Tolle. I just bought it out of curiosity. I have always been looking for ‘something’, I couldn’t verbalise it but sensed its presence. I had dipped into Buddhism which I was for some reason drawn to but found what I read quite impenetrable. I couldn’t quite get it. Eckhart Tolle put the message accross in a way I had never heard before, it blew me away and started me on a path which has quite simply changed my world entirely.
I have studied most of Eckhart Tolle’s wonderful work and am now becoming aware of other amazing spiritual teachers who are out there putting some good into this mad world that we live in.
So often the fundamental, simple message is lost under layers of clever, dense prose. The fundamental message is very simple and all faiths ultimately point to the same thing. However the path is NOT EASY because the gravitational pull of our minds can so easily pull us back into unconsciousness. That is why the work you do with these podcasts is so great. It helps draw us back away from the white noise of the mind and back into the wonderful stillness of just being.
Keep up the good work. I am writing from the UK and you are on the other side of the world and touching my life and consciousness and drawing me back onto the middle path.
The great thing is, I have now got dozens of your podcasts to enjoy as I catch up with everything from the start.

Patrick,
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. I’m very happy to be here helping in my own way and having wonderful people to share it with makes the journey that much easier. I agree that the message is simple and that our minds easily pull us away form that subtle and gentle truth. Sometimes it’s just a wispy breeze tickling at us and the quieter we get the more we are able to feel it’s true and steady power.
